Silver is a rare mineral in the Earth’s crust. However, every year, about 900 tons of Silver produced in the world is spent on making silverware. Therefore, making it is one of the most important uses of silver. it has a very high variety in the Iranian and world markets. Interestingly, other arts have also been integrated into the silverware industry and become an innovation in the silverware industry.
For example, once with the addition of the art of engraving in the Silverware industry, silver engraving vessels in the style of Isfahan or Tabriz appeared.
Silver utensils with different uses can include silver chocolate, nuts, turmeric, fruit, cups, pots, vases, and the like. There are other Silver dishes as well. Such as base bowl, samovar service, mirror and candlestick service, samovar brazier, and tea service. Of course, photo frames, handkerchiefs, wall clocks, and silver pistachios should also be added to this collection. Others include pelvic sunshades, watering cans, abysses, serving utensils, trays, cups, plates, and silver pitchers.
The method of making silverware is done in different cities with different styles. For example, in the city of Isfahan, it is mostly produced in the form of engraving. But in a city like Tabriz, it is skillfully carved with a special method and using fine pens.
But in general, silver utensils are made by four methods hammering, bending, casting, and pressing.
