Traditional Shoes, giveh ayakkabı
In the past, Iranians in different parts of the country used different footwear such as giveh (giveh ayakkabı ), charq and sandal for comfort in marching and also due to the regional location of their homes.
Each of these Traditional Shoes had advantages for use in its own areas. Sandals were commonly used in the southern tropics, giwa in the western and northwestern regions, as well as charq in central and northern Iran. Of course, it goes without saying that other regions also used these slippers with different shapes and designs.
Among these traditional slippers, Giveh was much more attractive than other slippers due to the use of cotton thread in its upper texture. Although the production process of this shoe was time consuming, but people were more fortunate in using the quilt. Evidently, cities such as Zanjan and Hamedan started mass production of this shoe by producing simple quilts of cumin and Kermanshah and Kurdistan by producing Klash quilts.
In addition to these cities, Isfahan, Kashan, Arak and Qom were among the cities that kept themselves in this pit by producing real estate.
In general, from the past to the present, despite the growth of the shoe industry and the production of stylish shoes and leather shoes, Giveh Traditional Shoes has maintained its position in this valley and still has a special place among the people.
