Persian mirror and candle holder
One of the important components of all Iranian wedding tables is the Persian mirror and candle holder, and there are different views on its philosophy. Some consider the mirror to be the embodiment of light and the candlesticks that are placed on both sides of the mirror are the symbols of the soldiers guarding the lives of the bride and groom.
Some consider the mirror to be the symbol of fortune mirror and the two candlesticks as symbols of light and fire, which are two very important elements in Iranian and Zoroastrian culture.
The mirror is placed on top of the table, facing the bride and groom, so that they can see each other in it and their hearts become smooth and clear towards each other like a mirror. The bright candles of the candlesticks represent the brightness and warmth of the wedding bond between the bride and the groom.
The mirror of fortune and two candlesticks on both sides of the mirror, symbolizing light and fire, are two very important elements in Iranian and Zoroastrian culture.
The mirror symbolizes the image of Genesis and the light that is placed on the Haft Sin table. The fireplace is also a symbol of light and heat stability, which later became a candle and lamp.
Two candlesticks are placed on both sides of the mirror and the candle is lit according to the number of children in the family. Candles are a symbol of joy and enlightenment.
