One of the subtleties of Iranian handicrafts is Traditional Hand-engraving (Qalamzani) on a variety of metals. It has a very long history in Iranian culture and dates back to the Sassanid period and valuable examples are found in the Museum of Ancient Iran.
Isfahan's heart which peaked in the Safavid period, It has special points and elegance. There are still many workshops involved in this art. Isfahan is considered to be the main place of this art but Toreutics and etching are quite popular and prosperous in other areas of the country too. Hand Engraving on Copper
