Sara Aghamiri is the daughter of the famous painter(Mohammad Bagher Aghamiri). She is one the best professional artists in Persian painting and Tazhib (illuminated manuscript).

She is the winner of 2 2-year painting competition in Iran because of this Tazhib. This is drown with gold, watercolor, and gouache.

Tazhib (illuminated manuscript) defined as a blend of original and beautiful patterns are created by painters to decorate religious, scientific, cultural, or historical books as well as poetry, art, or calligraphy collections. The magnificence of these precious original Persian works has endowed them with universal popularity in most of the prominent centers around the world such as embassies and consulates.

In the beginning, golden color was used in this art and this is why they called it “Tazhib (illuminated manuscript)” (gilding). Other colors like azure, blue, green, vermilion, and turquoise have also been used along with gold.

The miniature was popular in the Middle Ages. It was special to the East, particularly Iran, and was mostly created during the 15th Century. Persian Miniature (Negargari) follows certain rules for painting landscapes and usually does not observe natural proportions. The painted objects do not resemble their real-world image.

Accordingly, we also attempt to present you with artifacts created by some of the greatest Iranian miniature painters.
Teachers and artisans in the Illuminated Manuscript field use this art in various books to make the golden pages of literal and religious texts more beautiful, decorated with arabesque or floral motifs.
